Ever since the film release of the DC comic book adaptation Suicide Squad, many of its stars have gained a lot of praise for both their acting and style talents. Obviously Will Smith and Margot Robbie are established for both already, but model-actress Cara Delevingne, who played The Enchantress, has evolved into a style icon as well. The Cara Delevingne makeup look is now being intimated, and the Suicide Squad star has her favorite makeup products that she swears by to continually give her that stunning look that she’s associated with.
Cara Delevingne’s everyday makeup process isn’t static—her own makeup artist Molly Stern readily admits to doing many makeup transformations on Delevingne, as she likes to experiment and she’s in constant beauty evolution. However, a continual comment about Delevingne’s makeup is that it often uses a nude style. While she often uses cobalt blue around the eyes and bright red lip color, her glowing skin is almost natural looking. Stern knows the process behind this and how to look like Cara Delevingne using her favorite makeup products:
- The skin is prepared with a beauty lotion and then massaged with a moisturizer, usually with a Caudailie beauty lotion and Oxygen Serum by Natural Bisse respectively.
- Oxygen cream is used thereafter, and then the “glow cream” is applied, specifically Rimmel London BB Cream Matte [Medium]. All is topped off with a Rimmel London Sculpting and Highlighting Kit Creams, a Kate Moss product.
While this gives the facial “nude look,” Cara Delevingne’s eyebrows makeup requires its own Rimmel London Brow This Way Sculpting Kit in Blonde. That has all the tools necessary, along with an extra coat of Rimmel London Volume Flash Super Speed Mascara in Extreme Black for lashes. For specific application techniques, Stern uses a soft pink eye shadow on Delevingne’s eyelids and then a bit of blue and turquoise color mixture to expose the lash line more.
After the Storm
These are standard Cara Delevingne makeup tips that anyone can do at home. Stern always walks away from her work with Cara Delevingne proud. But she knows that once Delevingne walks away, her work is subject to various forms of wear and tear. While she tries to stay on Delevingne’s tail to color it, she knows what favorite beauty products Delevingne needs to carry around in her makeup bag: some Rimmel London Provocalips 16HR Kissproof Lip Color in Dare to Pink for her nude lip look, a bit of moisturizer and some extra taupe eye shadow to help revitalize Delevinge’s smoky eye look that stern applied earlier.
