Rest in Peace Carrie Fisher
The Star Wars franchise commemorated Carrie Fisher on its Instagram as Princess Leia shortly after the news.
"Carrie holds such a special place in the hearts of everyone at Lucasfilm it is difficult to think of a world without her. She was Princess Leia to the world but a very special friend to all of us. She had an indomitable spirit, incredible wit, and a loving heart. Carrie also defined the female hero of our age over a generation ago. Her groundbreaking role as Princess Leia served as an inspiration of power and confidence for young girls everywhere. We will miss her dearly.” -Kathleen Kennedy
Another one from the Star Wars vault:
Just some time ago, late Carrie Fisher graced the red carpet for the premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in a thigh-high slit blue velvet gown and a metallic jacket.
Fisher, at the European film premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens after party, made an entry in a deep red asymmetrical gown. She looked quite elegant in a pair of turquoise blue danglers and simple black heels.
The actress also had a notable career as a humorist. She attended the book signing event of her latest book The Princess Diarist in LA on November 28, 2016. Fisher again arrived in style, wearing a long sleeved, black knee-length dress that had a pink panel around the neck and three panels in different shades of pink on the cuff. The author elegantly tied up the look with a pair of shiny black moccasins.
