Elle Fanning and her older sister, Dakota Fanning, are growing up to be beautiful young women! Dakota Fanning looked incredible at the American Pastoral premiere. She stars in the new movie about a hardworking man in the late sixties, who is a key part of his community until his daughter’s (Fanning) actions cause his perfect middle class life to fall apart, and nearly destroy his family. Fanning is certainly growing up, and has been taking on more mature acting roles.
At the Valley Film Festival 2016, she walked the red carpet dressed in an orange David Koma dress, with simple Anita Ko jewelry, styled by Samantha McMillen. McMillen also styles many high-profile celebrities including Fanning’s younger sister, Elle, for various events. Dakota Fanning spoke to Allure about her makeup, hairstyle and beauty routine.
In the interview with Allure, Fanning shared some tips she learned about makeup since she began performing,
“I’ve learned this from my mom and all the makeup artists I have ever worked with: Always wear sunscreen.”
She also described her favorite look,
“I like to look really clean and fresh-faced. It is always fun to experiment with a lot of makeup, but I keep it pretty simple in my everyday life.”
As for her hairstyle Fanning first had her hair and makeup done when she was about six,
“I didn’t have much hair then, just little blonde wisps, so they didn’t do much. But I think it makes anyone feel special to get their hair and makeup done.”
Part of Fanning’s beauty routine is misting some fresh perfume. She told Allure that Marc Jacobs’ Daisy was the first perfume she ever wore.
“I like a really clean light scent. Nothing too heavy,” she said.
Fanning loves collecting the Marc Jacobs perfume bottles, and has them set out on her vanity!
Dakota Fanning isn’t the only one with a love for fashion. Elle Fanning’s outfit was equally beautiful, and the pink gems accentuated her youthful radiance. The younger Fanning took to Instagram (@ellefanning) and wrote, “Having an Elle Woods moment” as she revealed her ivory pleated Prada dress, and pink gem strip. She paired the outfit with pink satin pumps, and Tiffany & Co. bling, for the premiere of her new movie, 20th Century Women, at the Mill Valley Film Festival in California.

The Fanning sisters can pull off any look, but are best in their fresh, feminine style. With youthful glows, mature acting performances, and blue eyes to steal any heart, the Fanning sisters are becoming fashion icons in the industry! Hollywood stylist McMillen told Teen Vogue,
“[T]they’re so different. They’re sisters, but I look at them as different clients. There are similarities in the attention to detail and the way that they plan for things. They both really love fashion and really go for it, which is really nice. I just have a lot of fun working with them.”
