Olympic champion Jessica Ennis-Hill is most known for being the world’s top heptathlete and taking gold at the 2012 London games. Now, as she prepares to go for the gold once more in the Rio 2016 Olympics, Ennis-Hill will be bringing her A-game as well as some beauty essentials.
Now that she’s a mother, Jessica Ennis-Hill doesn’t get to indulge herself as much as she’d like, so her beauty ethos is to keep things simple and easy. If a beauty product works for her, she uses it. If not, don’t fuss and move on. This is best demonstrated by her use of the Olay Essentials Complete Care Day Cream which Ennis-Hill swears by for keeping her skin beautiful, healthy, and moisturized. This has practical applications too, since spending so much time outdoors training means the broad-spectrum sun protection in the cream is quite handy.
It may surprise some people to know that Ennis-Hill wears makeup when she competes. Her beauty product of choice, which will likely make an appearance in Rio, is the Bobbi Brown black eyeliner, mascara, and MAC foundation. She typically applies them in the morning before a competition and lets them last the rest of the day. Of course, heptathlons tend to be tiring even for world champions, so Jessica Ennis-Hill plans to relax with her favorite Elemis Aching Muscle Soak when it comes time to unwind.
The heptathlon is a series of seven events that takes place over two days and consists of the 100, 200, and 800-metre hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump, and javelin throw. As the prior Olympic champion, Jessica Ennis-Hill is going to have a lot of eyes on her this year so it’s no surprise that she decided to keep beauty essentials on-hand during the 2016 Rio Olympics. The women’s heptathlon begins at 8:35 AM on Friday, August 12.
