Actress and singer-songwriter Hilary Duff kicked off the holiday season by showing her “happiest place on earth” this past weekend, posting a photo on Instagram of her and son Luca in front of It’s a Small World in Disneyland.
Duff captioned the photo, “Happiest happiest happiest happiest happiest happiest happiest happiest place on earth! We love you@disneyland” The mother-son duo couldn’t look more adorable as they shared a sweet kiss—Duff wore a Mickey Mouse train conductor hat, while Hilary Duff’s son sported a Spiderman inspired beanie with Mickey Mouse ears.
No stranger to Disney, Duff’s career was catapulted when she landed the title role of Lizzie McGuire, a Disney channel series. The show premiered on January 12, 2001, and became a ratings hit with an estimated 2.3 million viewers per episode.
Hilary Duff’s Skin Care Tips
The Christmas festivities are in full swing, and Hilary Duff’s family trip to Disneyland is just the beginning. Duff has also posted a family photo in front of a Christmas tree and roaring fire which we are sure is just one of many functions the starlet will be attending this holiday season.
To keep her flawless complexion over the crazy Christmas season, Duff’s beauty secrets involve making sure she takes off all her makeup each night and washing her face with Polish by Dr. Lancer, who also serves as Duff’s dermatologist. Hilary Duff makes sure to follow up her beauty routine with a moisturizer to keep her skin hydrated, as she told InStyle magazine, “I also use a lot of oils—I think that just massaging your face and using serums has changed my skin for the better,” she said. “After I turned 25, I noticed my skin changing a lot. The later I stay out or the more I drink, it shows on my face. You’ve got to tend to it more and more and more!”
When Hilary Duff is off duty, you can find her with much more of a natural makeup look compared to when she is playing Kelsey Peters on the hit show Younger. When off duty, she always manages to land on trend, alternating between edgy and refined through her fashion, hair, and makeup looks. Duff doesn’t seem to wear a lot of makeup when she is not filming, and her go-to is a little brow pencil and some mascara. When asked about her makeup tips in an interview with The Kit, Duff explained how she likes to experiment in her own time and often posts photos of her favorite looks. Duff is currently getting into the holiday spirit saying, “I used to hate glitter, now I’m starting to love it again.” Hilary Duff’s hairstyles do change quite frequently, but no matter if she is has it pulled back into a sleek ponytail, or has it styled into side swept waves, she is still on trend.
