It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and celebrities alike are getting in the festive holiday spirit. Christmas 2016 seems to be the year of posting photos of your beautiful Christmas trees on Instagram, and many of your favorite celebrities are getting in on the act!

Kelly Osbourne started the trend a few weeks ago, posting a photo of herself balanced high on a ladder while adding Christmas tree decorations to her tall tree. Her mother, Sharon Osbourne, is looking on from the top of the stairs beside the tree. The famous mother-daughter duo look hard at work, creating their beautiful tree in the photo captioned, “Me & Mumma decorating the ?”

The next celebrity to follow suit and post a Christmas tree photo was Margot Robbie, who just recently won the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actress in an action movie for her role in the comic inspired film, Suicide Squad. Robbie’s photo is an aerial view of the tree with her and two others smiling up towards the camera, captioned, “’Tis the season ?”

English television presenter and model, Holly Willoughby, was another star to post a photo to Instagram showing her tree in a slightly different way. Willoughby’s photo is more about the eggnog in front of the roaring fire that she is pouring, showing just a few branches of the decorated tree. Captioned, “Sometimes the moment just screams Instagram! At my sisters/mummyChristmas!” What we want to know is if that eggnog has been spiked, and if we can get an invitation to join her!

Festive Traditions Shared on Social Media

While celebrities such as Katie Price, Margot Robbie, and Kelly Osbourne are showing off their trees, more people are taking to social media to post photos of their festive traditions. The festive photos are not just limited to Christmas trees, some are posting themselves in Santa suits, while others are showing their families enjoying the winter snow.

Osbourne has posted other Christmas inspired images on Instagram, such as one of her holding her dog as she is dressed in a Santa outfit. Katie Price also posted a photo of her Elf on the Shelf getting into some mischief, hanging from the chandelier. Margot Robbie took some time out from her busy schedule to snap a photo of herself with her handsome younger brother, Cameron, which had the pair grinning at their amusement of their reflection in a Christmas ball.

So why let the celebrities have all the fun!? Why not snap a few photos at your holiday party this season and take to Instagram to share with your followers. If parties aren’t your thing, take a break from your Christmas shopping to take a quick selfie among the holiday shopping madness. Or maybe you’re up to dressing in a Santa Claus costume and taking a photo outside in the snow to share with your daily followers. Whatever the scene or festive idea you can create, you will be sure to get a lot of holiday “likes” this season.
