Lana Del Rey took to Instagram to mark the release of The Weeknd’s third album, Starboy. The singer posted a video of herself lip-syncing the lyrics of “Stargirl Interlude:”

“I had a vision / a vision of my nails / scratching countertops.”

In the video, Del Rey dramatizes the lyrics by scratching her kitchen counter with a smoldering look befitting the lyrics. The singer has collaborated with The Weeknd on the Starboy album. She has provided lyrics and vocals to the songs “Stargirl Interlude” and “Party Monster” on the album.

The 31-year-old singer still manages to look seductive in the video with barely any makeup on. Del Rey has always looked delicately alluring in her videos and real life as well. The diva is infatuated with the retro look—the big hairdo and winged eyes—and loves to adorn her hairdo with hair accessories. She is sensually bold with her looks and trusts her makeup artist, Pamela Cochrane, to get her signature look with precision.

In an interview, Pamela Cochrane shares the beauty secrets on how she preps-up the “Video Games” singer’s look. Here’s the breakdown of the routine:

Lips – Cochrane says that she begins by exfoliating Del Rey’s lips. This plumps up the lips and provides a smooth surface. She then layers the lips with a balm, followed by lining them with a pencil and adds color in the end. The artist usually uses Sara Happ Red Velvet Lip Exfoliant, Kiels’s lip balm, and picks lipsticks from Yves Saint Laurent.

Eyes – For Del Rey’s signature eyes, the artist uses a black gel liner from MAC Cosmetics called Fluidline Blacktrack, and applies it with a fine liner brush. To get those hypnotizing eyes, Cochrane says to draw the line along the lash line but not too thick, then add a darker shadow finely on the socket line, and complete it with fluffy eye lashes.

Face – Since the singer has great skin, Cochrane doesn’t use a heavy base. The makeup artist uses Omorovicza Facial Mist and Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer Highlighters on Del Rey’s face.

You can achieve Lana Del Rey’s look with the right makeup (and practice), but you can’t pull off the look without the attitude—for it’s her attitude that makes her so dangerously enticing. So, you might want to master that first instead.
