Lauren Conrad debuted her DIY Halloween 2016 clown makeup as well as some adorable photos of her friends’ Circus performer costumes. This Halloween makeup look was teased earlier this month —and continues to show sneak peeks leading up to today!

DIY Halloween makeup looks are extremely popular this year, and people are looking to spice up their Halloween costumes even more. Lauren Conrad is showing off her two Halloween looks for this year: a stunning DIY flapper look and her pastel-hued Circus performer look. She explains on her website that she was inspired by a sequin star dress from Valentino’s Star Studded collection, and it gave her ideas for her Halloween costumes.

Conrad, along with friends Lauren and Hannah, decided to design their own ensembles.

“We decided to go with a trio of characters: pastel circus ballerina, a mime and a tightrope walker. It took almost all day to make these from scratch (partly because we were laughing and goofing off most of the time), but we were thrilled with how they turned out.” Conrad wrote down all the materials and steps in her blog, so be sure to check it out if you want to make your own!

Conrad also shared a tutorial for her flapper look. The celebrity certainly loves shimmery, pink designs and when you visit her blog post, you’ll see the gorgeous Halloween costume she creates with the material! She used one large feather, enough trim to make two straps and a headpiece, enough fabric to make a tube or slip dress, and chainette fringe. She then explains in detail how to create the outfit in a step-by-step process. This bonus DIY costume was inspired by the 1920s and will make you look like a star at any soiree.

“You really don’t have to be a master seamstress to make a fringed frock of your own, and today I am going to prove it to you. This flapper dress is way chicer than anything you would find on the racks in a costume store, and it was surprisingly simple to make,” she says. Be sure to check out her tutorial to make one yourself!

If you want to go for a Halloween theme that isn’t scary, these ideas are elegant options for you to try! Get creative and start making your costumes, because Halloween is less than a week away!
