The adorable liar of Pretty Little Liars, Lucy Hale, showed us a new way to wear tattoos for the holiday season—as an eye makeup! Teen Vogue posted a video of Hale wearing “Starry Night” art inspired look with pretty stick-on tats on her lids. Her makeup artist did an over-the-top cat eye with mini emoji tats on Hale’s eyelids. The embellishment looked quite tasteful and unique.
We enlisted our favorite @markgirl @lucyhale, a tattoo connoisseur, to dream up out-of-the-box ink ideas you’ve never seen before. Here, Lucy shows off a cat eye made up of teeny tiny emojis. ? Her makeup artist @kdeenihan simply scattered temporary tats along Lucy’s lids and topped off the look with a vampy lip. The result turned the classic holiday eye on its head in the prettiest way. Head to the link in bio to see the rest of the rad ways Lucy incorporates ink into her vibe. ⭐️?: @evaankheraj Styling: @its_brody
In another Instagram post, the tattoo connoisseur showed off another facet of the “Starry Night” art look—freckles makeup. She flaunted a fresh face with metallic freckles.
Hale is a huge lover of ink art and keeps adding to her interesting collection of body tattoos. She already has an array of tattoos on her back, and recently got another one along with her PLL co-stars. Each of the stars of PPL got the initial of their on-screen character’s name inked on their index finger to commemorate the end of the series.
With the holiday season almost here, we should all be gearing up to look our best. Aside from the above-described new look sported by Hale, here are a few holiday makeup looks and tips:
The Red Pout – All shades of scarlet are acceptable. Keep it deep with a warm hue. Matte or glossy, either will do.
The Eye Game – Do a smokey eye on the lid or the statement under-eye, whatever you want. Use shimmery eye shadows and keep your eyebrows trimmed.
Hair – Roll it up with a side braid to go with a strapless dress. Maybe let it flow cascading over the shoulder (work the volume for this one) or a retro taut bun; just do an interesting hairdo. Greasy hair? Top knot, anyone?
Face – Bring out the warm glow onto the face. Give a bit of color to the cheeks.
Outfit – Wear colors that are not eccentric and bright, but those that lift up the festive mood such as maroon, blue, rose, gold, etc. Complete the look with a nice pair of boots or those new shoes bought as a holiday purchase.
Tips – If your outfit is the highlight of your look, then keep the face makeup subtle and remember its a holiday party, not a Macy’s parade!
And voila! You are ready to attend any holiday party—maybe have that special kiss under the mistletoe. (Sigh!)
