Celebrities taking Instagram selfies is nothing new, but lately there seem to be more of them going makeup-free. It all started with singer Alicia Keys, who went makeup-free at the BET Awards last month. Since then, she has seemingly started a movement that has inspired stars such as Gabrielle Union and Nicole Richie.

But are actresses Mila Kunis, Katie Holmes, Drew Barrymore, and Isla Fisher joining Alicia Keys’ makeup-free movement? They may not have officially agreed to it like Union, but some did give their reasons for showing off their natural beauty.

Both Barrymore and Holmes recently followed the trend of the makeup-free selfie and posted on Instagram. Both appeared happy in their respective photos, showing their flawless natural skin.

Kunis went barefaced as she graced the August cover of Glamour magazine without any makeup. Instead, she wore a skin serum, eye cream, and lip balm, but the Bad Moms star simply doesn’t like to wear makeup.

“I don’t wear makeup. I don’t wash my hair every day. It’s not something that I associate with myself,” she told the magazine. “I commend women who wake up 30, 40 minutes early to put on eyeliner. I think it’s beautiful. I’m just not that person.”

Another actress embracing her natural beauty is Keeping Up with the Joneses star Isla Fisher, who was caught going barefaced in West Hollywood while running errands. Just days after walking the Keeping Up with the Joneses red carpet, Fisher was seen in jeans and a polka dotted blouse and sunglasses. The 40-year-old Australian actress wasn’t hiding her face and was even seen smiling.
