Modern Family star Sarah Hyland and Vampire Diaries alum Nina Dobrev looked gorgeous while sporting twisted hair at the ASPCA Benefit Red Carpet in Los Angeles.

The 25-year-old Modern Family star amazed in a marigold velvet Antonio Grimaldi dress, paired with teal pumps. She twisted her hair into a topknot with a gold barrette, which added a bright pop of color with strawberry statement lipstick.

Vampire Diaries alum Dobrev, 27, wowed in a baby blue David Koma dress with an embellished bodice and a flared hemline. Dobrev wore sparkling Atelier Swarovski jewels, including earrings, a double-helix ring, and Nicholas Kirkwood heels.

Nina Dobrev

Dobrev has had quite the hair transformation over the years, leaving girls wanting to know how to get it too. As you may remember, Dobrev played two different characters on the show, the evil Katherine and the sympathetic Elena. Aside from her character’s vastly different personalities, one thing that was noticeable with Dobrev’s roles was her hair change. Not only did this help tell the women apart, but it also showcased how much style showcases personality. Katherine always donned long, flowing waves and smoky eyes, while Elena always sported thick straight locks and the look of natural makeup.

Off screen, Dobrev’s hair is just as beautiful, and fans can get great hair like her by following these tips.

Always Condition

On Twitter, a fan asked the actress how to make her hair look beautiful like Dobrev’s. She responded, “Conditioner, and hair masks! The Unite deep condition!”

The actress informed InStyle magazine that she rotates three masks, applying one every third wash (about once a week)—the Sofia Treatment by Unite, a keratin treatment, and a mask by MoroccanOil.  All three combined create moisture while the keratin also helps to replace hair follicles that gets damaged by heat exposure.

Take Five

When Dobrev takes five, so does her hair. “Try not to style it when you don’t need to,” the actress told Vogue. “You can put a braid in it, or if you’re not sure how to create a braid, go to a braid bar and get one. It’s much better for your hair that running it through irons and heat all the time,” she added.

Sarah Hyland

For those of you looking to get your hands-on Hyland’s look, you’re in luck, because the actress has opened up to Teen Vogue with her very own beauty secrets. Like most girls, the actress and face of Heart Calgon likes to play around with makeup, but doesn’t want to look like she has too much on.

When it comes to a beauty routine, Hyland doesn’t like to waste any time in front of the mirror.

“My beauty routine for everyday makeup can be really fast. I always put moisturizer on first, then the tiniest bit of foundation, and really not even that, sometimes. Then, a little bit of blush, but I’m big on concealer and mascara. I like my eyelashes and to make sure that my under-eyes aren’t dark at all.”

Hyland’s advice to teens is not to apply too much, which is what she likes about the Heart Calgon fragrance.
