One Tree Hill actress Sophia Bush turned heads at Barack Obama’s last White House Christmas party, wearing a long-sleeved dress from The 2nd Skin Co. She paired this gorgeous knee length dress with white pumps from Sophia Webster and jewelry from Irene Neuwrith. Posing by the famous White House Christmas tree, Bush shared a photo on Instagram to commemorate the night. Expressing her gratitude for being able to attend the last Obama White House Christmas party, she wrote: “’Twas a truly special night… Feeling tremendously grateful and inspired. Happy Holidays everyone #WhiteHouseChristmas.”
Before stepping into the front doors of the White House, Sophia Bush had a photo op with gal pal Lauren Paul, wife of Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul. The two both rocked festive looks, but couldn’t have looked anymore different. While Bush opted for a monochromatic look with her white dress and black duster coat, Paul wore a brightly colored red mid-calf length dress, with lace-up heels to match. The classy pair posed for a quick photo before entering the party.
Nostalgic of the Obama’ family’s last Christmas in the White House, the actress also posted a photo of the president’s speech. Preparing to hand his seat as POTUS over to president-elect Donald Trump next month, Barack Obama made an inspiring speech at this year Christmas party. Bush snapped a quick shot of him delivering his speech against the lavish decorations inside the White House, and included a snippet of his speech as her caption: “’My hope is that what you take away from these last eight years, is your power and your capacity to make change that improves the lives of the American people. Because, I’ve said this before, the most important Office in a Democracy is The Office Of CITIZEN. And that doesn’t change before or after an election.’ @barackobama.” We think it’s pretty clear that Obama was trying to share some words of encouragement, as the future of his country may seem uncertain to those who aren’t confident in Trump’s ability to fill his shoes!
"My hope is that what you take away from these last eight years, is your power and your capacity to make change that improves the lives of the American people. Because, I've said this before, the most important Office in a Democracy is The Office Of CITIZEN. And that doesn't change before or after an election." @barackobama • A thousand times, yes. Thank you Mr. President
Sophia Bush’s White House Christmas Party Makeup and Style
Sophia Bush kept her look incredibly simple at this Christmas Party. Sporting a neutral makeup look with slicked back hair to show off her delicate drop earrings, she looked as classy as ever. Bush wore a similar, more colorful look to the 2016 SAG Awards. Her colorful tweed dress has a similar silhouette, and was belted in the same waist-cinching position. She amped up the makeup and beauty products for her look on the red carpet, as she wore a brightly colored blush and a bold red lipstick.
The #SAGAwards Announcements this morning were amazing! Worth the 4am call time 😘 • Much love to my co-presenter @common and all the folks from SAG Aftra. Be sure to watch the awards Sunday January 29th. I'll see you there! • Thank you to @ecduzit @creightonbowman and @patrickta for turning me into a human hours before sunrise 🌅
Sophia Bush never strays far from her classic beauty and fashion style. We’ve loved the looks she’s worn all through 2016, and we can’t wait to see what she’s got in store for 2017!
