We’re used to seeing Pretty Little Liars actress Lucy Hale as a style icon on the fashion front, but recently she’s been flaunting some seriously enviable nail art as well. It seems as though the risks she’s been taking with her hair and makeup have finally influenced her manicure style– considering how obsessed we are with Hale’s hair evolution, you can’t begin to imagine what we think about her nail art!
In a recent shoot for Schon Magazine, Hale sported some aggressive-looking spikes. A very fashion forward publication, her nail art didn’t surprise us once we found out where its inspiration stemmed from! Viewers are still used to seeing her as her sweet PLL character, Aria Montgomery, but as she continues to serve fierce looks, we’re getting used to her change of style! Lucy Hale’s Instagram post definitely attracted some attention–her bantu knotted hair and spiked nails amassed almost 400,000 likes. With real rose thorns glued to her nails, we’d expect nothing less!
From fierce and spiky to sickly sweet, Lucy Hale’s nail art knows no bounds. Check out this gummy worm inspired nail art she rocked last year:
On Tuesday, Lucy Hale revealed her secret weapon when it came to achieving the perfect nail art. She posted a picture of her manicurist on Instagram, who we’re sure is booked solid from now until 2018!

3D Nail Jewels
If you’re a glitzy person or just want to try something a little more glam for the holidays, 3D nail art is the way to go. You can go for a sweet, innocent look with a bow, or go for a more vampy design with separate jewels on your accent nail.
A good option if you’re looking for some subtle nail art. Nail caviar the same color as the rest of your nails, or in a silver or gold on your ring finger will always be pretty.
An accent nail with geometric pattern (that can be made to resemble a snowflake) is another subtle option.
A unique spin on the usual French tip, you can also get these in different colors if you want to switch it up even more
What’s more New Year’s Eve than glitter? Glam up your accent nail, or your entire mani!
Get a matte manicure and have your manicurist paint a simple design with the same color, in a glossy formula over top. This is a very classy and subtle option if you want to ease your way into the world of nail art!
