Reese Witherspoon symbolizes the contemporary and complete woman. She is career-oriented, a business mogul, and a mother as well. So, there’s no surprise People magazine picked her to be on the cover of this year’s Christmas Edition.
The magazine posted the cover on their Instagram account.
Reese Witherspoon’s Holiday Traditions
In the interview with People magazine, the Wild star talks about family and Christmas traditions. She says that there are a few things like gingerbread houses and Advent calendars her family needs to have during Christmas. Every Christmas, Witherspoon tries to visit her family. This year she is traveling with her household to see her family in Georgia and Tennessee.
Witherspoon reveals that she is quite the Southerner at her heart. From wearing bright Christmas-inspired outfits to having favorite holiday foods like Southern classic honey-baked ham, the actress passionately adheres to holiday traditions. Here’s a picture she posted on Instagram of the Christmas tree at Witherspoon’s home. The actress asks for fans to lend some decorating tips in the caption.
Witherspoon also shared that she loves Christmas caroling. One of her favorite holiday memories from her childhood in Nashville is bundling up and walking around the neighborhood singing Christmas carols.
We see the actress getting into the Christmas spirit with posts on her Instagram account. Here’s a picture which shows Reese Witherspoon with the last-minute gifts she purchased. She says in the caption that there is still time to purchase your last-minute gifts from her own retail brand store, Draper James.
In another Instagram post, Witherspoon appears to be writing thoughtful Christmas cards. She captioned this one as “When every holiday card takes 2+ hours to write…”
Reese Witherspoon’s New Family Traditions
Just like her, Reese Witherspoon’s children are also passionate about Christmas time. In the spirit of Christmas, her eldest child, Ava, bakes tons of cookies. Her second child, Tennessee, makes waffles with her on Christmas morning. The youngest of the three, Deacon, is a good helper for now says the proud mother.
The season of Christmas is about having quality family time and sharing a couple of drinks with good friends. Witherspoon seems to have found a fine balance between managing her business and family this holiday season. All the power to you, Reese Witherspoon!
