On December 30, Ronda Rousey will be making a comeback of epic proportions on UFC 207, vying to reclaim her throne from the current champion, the fierce Brazilian fighter Amanda Nunes. Ronda Rousey posted some feisty pictures of herself on Instagram as she prepared for the fight of a lifetime. The Ronda Rousey vs. Amanda Nunes pairing is one that people have been waiting to see for a very long time—it’s been nearly a year in the making—ever since Rousey lost the title of undefeated champion to Holly Holm in November of 2015.

Ronda Rousey’s Pantene Makeover

It seems that Ronda Rousey has become an unofficial spokesperson for Pantene during this UFC season. She was more than happy to represent them on social media, where she had hairstylist Abraham Esparza transform her hair into an awesome cornrow hairstyle. Judging by the comments on her Instagram account, it is easy to see that fans are extremely excited for Ronda Rousey’s much anticipated return. This could very well be the most highly viewed fight in all of UFC history.

Ronda Rousey’s Physical Transformation

If Ronda Rousey seems a little out of it, tired, or even feisty; well, it’s because she has nothing but winning on her mind. She is determined to take back her title and in her mind, she is still an undefeated champion, which is technically untrue. But, if that is what she needs to believe to keep herself moving forward, then so be it. After all, according to sources from her team, she has been training nonstop and the results are showing in her physical stamina and stature.

Not only does she have a new braid hairstyle to showcase, but Rousey also has some new muscles she will be putting on display this evening. In her intense preparations for UFC 207, Ronda Rousey has lost a whopping 10-15 pounds and gained nothing but muscle. She now has a six pack that was not present before. As the saying goes, she is a lean, mean, fighting machine, and she is pulling out all the stops. At the recent weigh-in, Rousey was right on point, weighing in at 135 pounds. It is obvious that she is feeling the pressure of this impending fight because she did not even stick around for the post weigh-in photo-op. Instead, she left right away, presumably to keep working out until the moment right before the fight. Her opponent, Amanda Nunes, decided to be a good sport and stuck around for the promo pictures.

Ronda Rousey has said in a recent interview that she cares about nothing else but winning this fight, and rightfully so. After all, Ronda Rousey has a reputation to maintain—she is one of the toughest female MMA fighters in the world and losing to someone younger than her like Holly Holms was probably a huge blow to her ego.

But, we are all eagerly awaiting the results of the fight tonight so that we can see who the new champion is.
