MMA champ Ronda Rousey has taken to Instagram to promote her Pantene partnership, and is getting ready to fight bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes.
Ronda Rousey, Strong is Beautiful
When you think of Ronda Rousey, you think of strength, and of course, beauty. So, it’s no surprise that the bantamweight champion was selected to be the face of Pantene’s new strength campaign.
In an Instagram post, Rousey wrote about how excited and fortunate she was to be part of Pantene’s Strong is Beautiful campaign.
“I’m so proud to partner with @pantene because together, we can show just how beautiful strong women can be. Don’t hate me because I’m strong. Tag the strong women in your life using #StrongIsBeautiful.”
Rousey was also featured in a commercial for the beauty company, showing off a series of mixed martial arts moves by shadowboxing in a black outfit and showing off her flawless hair in a white jumpsuit.
“I’m going to break all the glass ceilings,” said Rousey in a voice over. She also said: “Don’t hate me, because I’m strong.”
Ronda Rousey’s Next Fight
Round 2, fight! That’s right—Ronda Rousey is back with a vengeance. Rousey recently starred in a comeback video on YouTube, showing her training harder than ever with her coach, ignoring critics and promising her return.
As many will remember, in the UFC Ronda Rousey-Holly Holm showdown, Rousey was confident that she would defeat Holm, but she ultimately lost her title to the professionally trained boxer and lost all confidence afterwards. Rousey went into despair and entered the lowest point in her life, and even thought of suicide.
That was a year ago, and now Rousey is back and ready to take on bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes in the highly-anticipated Pay-Per-View event on December 30.
Holm has since been defeated by Tate, followed by Tate being defeated by Nunes.
According to International Business Times, UFC president Dana White has stated that star fighter Rousey is in “sick shape” and ready for a comeback.
“Guess what she is weighing right now? 135 lbs.,” said the UFC president, adding: “She is doing everything she can to keep her weight on. She is in sick shape.”
Conan O’Brien’s Show Look
While making her rounds on her press tour for the December fight, the star fighter thanked the Ronda Rousey makeup team for her interview look during her interview with Conan O’Brien.
Her hair was perfected by Pantene, of course, and her dress was from House of CB London.
Thank you @teamcoco for having me back on tonight?? And thank you to the pit crew who dragged me out of the gym and put Humpty Dumpty together Hair @thisisbabe using @dysonhair @pantene Make up @kayleenmcadams Styling @alejandroperazastyle Dress @houseofcb Earrings @siandsidesign Cuff, Ring @kaurajewels Heels @roberto_cavalli @montanaraderltd
But Rousey’s glam look didn’t stop her from feeling Conan O’Brien’s hair. She even took to Instagram to mark the occasion.
Ellen DeGeneres Show Look
On a stage, not too far from O’Brien’s, Rousey chatted up her old friend Ellen DeGeneres and wore a pink jay Godfrey dress, a New York fashion design.
Guess whose team Ellen is on.
