Ruby Rose and Gigi Hadid attended Reebok’s Perfect Never event in downtown Manhattan last Wednesday, and it was obvious they were there to have some fun! The pair were photographed putting their arms around each other while giggling and looking in each other’s eyes. “It is always about this girl for me, The beautiful, kind, hardworking, gracious and amazing Gigi.. forever proud of everything you do,” Ruby Rose wrote alongside a snap she shared with her nearly 10million Instagram followers.
Rose has been in the spotlight herself recently, as she is starring in John Wick 2, which is set to be released in early 2017. Gigi Hadid attended Reeboks promotional event as the new face of Reebok’s athletic Perfect Never campaign.
Ruby Rose Stunning Tattoos
Ruby Rose, who was speaking at the event, was dressed in a statement technicolored fur coat offset by lo-fi athleisurewear separates. She wore a cobalt blue hoodie overtop a white fitted-top with fancy cutouts near the neckline, and gray jogging pantsuit. Her beautifully styled short hair tied the whole look together.
It was an eclectic look, but she pulled it off flawlessly. Ruby Rose, who is never one to shy away from controversial looks, has had over 60 body tattoos, which are all inspired by different occasions and people in her life. Some of Ruby Rose’s stunning tattoos include a portrait on her bicep, a heart playing cards on her chest, and writing on her knuckles. Rose, who is fascinated with tattooing art, has secured various movie roles after getting cast as the Australian tattooed beauty on the hit comedy-drama, Orange is the New Black.
The new face of the Reebok campaign, Hadid, was an obvious choice for the sportswear company. On top of using her signature sporty moves while modeling, the former equestrian and volleyball player is also a very talented boxer. The Perfect Never campaign, which was previously fronted by UFC Champion Rhonda Rousey, encourages women to not only celebrate their imperfections, but be motivated by them. Hadid told ELLE.com, “So many women around the world in so many different career paths and places are expected to be perfect and I know that it sounds cliché, but none of us are. I think that it’s important to just be open about that. It makes life so much easier when you can just say ‘I’m human’ at the end of the day.”
Hadid is comfortable with who she is, and doesn’t let a lot of negative comments get her down. She does everything to take care of herself, including eating healthy and staying on a strict skin care regime, and is confident in knowing that the path she is on just keeps getting better—her imperfections motivate her.
Gigi Hadid remembers that there were a lot of times where she didn’t get booked for any shows, and got a lot of criticism for her runway walk. She has since met mentors that have taught her, but is still trying to get better, taking into consideration that she will be happy even if it isn’t perfect.
