Fresh off the Victoria’s Secret runway, Joan Smalls looked stunning as she graced the Vogue Mexico cover 2017. The Victoria’s Secret model has seen recent success as one of the exclusive Victoria’s Secret Angels, walking the famous catwalk dressed in lingerie. Smalls is no stranger to walking in shows, as she has modeled ready-to-wear and haute couture collections for designers and fashion houses such as Chanel, Tom Ford, Burberry, and Louis Vuitton. Smalls is also considered a Victoria’s Secret alumni, having appeared in the fashion show since 2011.

Joan Smalls Two Million Followers

Take a look though Joan Smalls’ Instagram and you will see why the 28-year-old is one of the most booked models and highest earners in the industry right now. The Puerto Rican-born beauty can work both print ads and runways like a pro. Joan Small’s hot pictures on Instagram have just recently earned her over two million followers and counting. The model celebrated her two million followers this week by posting a video clip of her dancing for her fans.

As the first Latina to represent Estée Lauder, Smalls is no stranger to breaking barriers. The model has become somewhat of an industry spokesperson and is vocal about diversity within the modeling world. Smalls recently told The Telegraph, “I hate being skinny, and being a little weakling thing. I want to be able to take a punch and give a punch and feel empowered.”

Although Smalls is one of the biggest names in fashion at the moment, she recently sat down with Glamour magazine to talk about her future and how it might not be exclusively tied to beauty campaigns or runway shows. “My boyfriend and I are always thinking up ways to tie fashion with other worlds. You’ll see celebrities doing certain things, and we’re like, ‘Why aren’t models doing it? Then we’re like, Hmm, let’s pitch that idea!’ That’s how I became W Hotels’ first global fashion innovator [creating design, event, and travel product ideas and brand partnerships].”

Joan Small’s Victoria’s Secret runway gig isn’t the only thing keeping the supermodel busy these days. Small’s timecard is filled with advertising campaigns, cosmetic contracts, and she has even been spotted in music videos such as Beyoncé’s, “Yoncé.” Smalls was also recently featured as one of Replay Jean’s models for their latest Touch Jeans advertising campaign.

Her latest magazine covers featured the model on Numero magazine back in November, and Harper’s Bazaar Spain in October. Joan Smalls Harper’s Bazaar Spain cover shoot in October this year had the model beautifully draped in a patent black rain coat with the backdrop of crystal clear water on the beach.

Joan Smalls Numero magazine cover shoot showed the model wearing beautiful patchwork sweater dress with fur cuffs.

Seems like it is only a matter of time until Smalls has appeared on the cover of every prominent fashion magazine out there! Her newest cover shoot for Vogue Mexico will mark the second time Joan Smalls has been featured on the Latin magazine cover, and we are guessing it certainly won’t be the last!
