Zendaya shocked her fans when she revealed her next big break. The teen star icon from Disney will be featured on the cover of Allure magazine. For her big magazine debut, the actress chose a metallic gold dress with a plunging neckline. However, her slicked-back, wet hair look was something that really took her fans by surprise.

She opted for a damp-mane, with a deep side part combed back and then slicked down the sides. Her makeup was done just right, showcasing her gleaming skin with pink gloss and shimmery highlights for her eyes. She flaunted the Mermaid-inspired beauty look with elegance and grace.

Zendaya has also been offered a meaty role in the next Spider Man movie, Spicer Man: Homecoming. “Well, I waited and waited for the right part, and now I get to be in Spider-Man,” beamed the actress, excited about her new superhero movie.

The star featured her new look on Instagram and captioned it, “Thank you @allure for having me on your cover”.

Zendaya on Hairstyles and Cultural Appropriation

Last year, Zendaya chose to flaunt dreadlock hair extensions for a unique red carpet style at the Oscars. Though the star looked every bit gorgeous as she paired her hair do with an off-shoulder white dress, many criticized her on the hairstyle.

However, Zendaya was not someone who would lay low on the criticism and discussed the topic openly. She spoke about how people are often mocked for their styles, even though it represents their hometown, lifestyle, and culture. She clarified further, “If something feels personal to your culture or to your background, then you take that personally and you feel affected by it. You can’t tell someone not to be upset about it.”

Zendaya’s Hairstyles

From flaunting a pixie at the launch of her shoe collection to Hollywood beach waves, bouncy curls and ringlets to a half-up bun, high ponytail braid to a stunning cornrow updo, Zendaya has never shied away from experimenting with her haircuts and innumerable hairstyles. “I love to slay a red carpet. When I step on one, I’m a different person. Like Sasha Fierce and Beyoncé,” said the daring superstar.

Zendaya’s Beauty Secrets

Zendaya admits to watching tons of makeup tutorials on YouTube and reading fashion magazines when she was young. After entering the industry, she also picked up makeup tips from her peers and friends, creating her own style.

Her makeup bag usually contains a lip moisturizer, lotion, and perfume. Her must-have makeup products are Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes, Aveeno Ultra-Calming Makeup Removing Wipes, Clinque Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel, and Carmex Moisturizing Lip Balm. She also advises to use good hair products that suit your mane.
